What is shockwave treatment
The therapy source can penetrate up to a depth of 172 mm (5MPa distal zone), allowing even deep-seated areas in large animals to be located and treated accurately. Although the therapy source is powerful, treatment is quiet to minimize the animal’s flight response.
The unusually large focal volume of the linear focused therapy source results in the fast and effective treatment of large affected areas to rectify problems such as myogelosis or tendinopathies. Finding the target area has become much simpler.
Focused shockwaves are useful to localize pain points. The unique properties of shockwaves are used to administer targeted mechanical pulses to anatomical structures. The reactions of the animal to the pulse allow the user to draw conclusions about the cause and site of the pain point.
